Swimming - how early should you learn

There are numerous times in life I feel like I wish I had learnt how to swim. My friends and family say it's never too late but as years go by, the fear of water just keeps increasing. There are so many water sports which I might have taken up but the fear of water and drowning just creeps in.. and when I had children of my own, I would keep worrying for them.

One day I realised that they are going to learn from me, and they are learning to be fearful as well. They see mommy jumping few feets away from a swimming pool and they follow suit. If god forbid they fell into the water what would I do when I need saving myself.

That's when I decided I need to enroll them into swimming lessons. But then I thought they are just toddlers, isn't it too early?
No it isn't.
Infact a child so small will grasp the rhythm sooner.

Did you know drowning is the number 1 cause of death among toddlers and kids. This literally scared me.
I did my research and found the best school in town since I had to get them in the best hands. Aqua-tots is not only experienced and an industry leader with a charted out curriculum but they also provide the friendliest faces to the job.

Learning to swim at an early age will not only save their lives but it has numerous health benefits. Swimming keeps your child’s heart and lungs healthy, improves strength and flexibility, increases stamina and even improves balance and posture.
Swimming provides challenges and rewards accomplishments, which helps children to become self-confident and believe in their abilities. This helps them in their growth and to develop their personality which will help them their entire life.

Aqua-tots has given me the confidence in seeing what my little ones are capable of.
They have a state of the art facility. The swimming pools are at 4 feet all over and divided into sections for each level. The water is at a comfortable 85-90 degrees which makes it easy to go in be it summer or winter. There are a good number of changing rooms with diaper changing stations. The restrooms are well equipped too. There are hair dryers, body lotions and Q tips for your babies too. For every 1 teacher there are 3-4 kids so that they get undivided attention.

Like any school, a kid will take time to get used to it. My child did cry the first 3 classes. Like uncontrollably. But one of his teacher said - someday it will save his or someone else's life.
So we did not give up and after a little distraction and bribing (Aquatots has lollipops on the door for kids) we are now happy going to the classes. And seeing my kids enjoying while they learn has given me so much joy.

Disclaimer- I have been provided complimentary classes by Aqua-tots but every opinion is honest and my own.
