As you know we had enrolled my kids in Aquatots last year. But COVID changed all our plans and took a really long break. Though Aquatots had started their classes back in May, I was still a bit apprehensive to send the kiddos back. But after months to research and homework we finally decided it was safe to send them back.
Aquatots does a great job in keeping things clean and sanitized. They have temperature checks upon entrance for everyone.
The playarea inside has been closed to avoid contact.
The seatings are reduced and spaced out so that there is atleast 6 feet distance between people.
The coach wear face shields during classes.
The teacher student ratio has been reduced so there are lesser students per teacher.
Proper maintenance of pools using chlorine and bromine.
“There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfection with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should inactivate the virus in the water.”
CDC (2020), Water and COVID-19 FAQsSwimming is an important life skill and my kids were absolutely delighted to be back.
