Disney party ideas

Disclaimer- I was sent a box full of goodies by Walt Disney World to host a Disney themed party. This post may contain affiliate links.

Call me old school, but when Disney comes to mind I am all about Mickey, Minnie and the Princesses.

I was so excited that I got a box full of Mickey mouse themed goodies to host my party. As a frequent Disney goer, my kids, even though just toddlers, love everything Disney. They were jumping with joy seeing the adorable #pillowpets mickey pillow, the mickey pinata, the mickey paper plates and napkins, Princess dress and doll by #jakkstoys and popcorn cake by #poppedpopcorn. We had the most fun unboxing it.

Seeing the fun stuff reminded me of my recent trip to Walt disney world and all the exciting new rides and shows they have to offer. #nowmorethenever is the perfect time to visit Disney.

FOOD
The theme is set so now you need disney themed snacks. I had a bunch of food items for adults and kids but some were mainly with the theme.

DECORATIONS
Decorations can be done very inexpensively or you may go all out too. I bought some red and black crepe papers from dollar store and stuck them from the fan to the ceiling. Dollar store also carried mickey prined balloons which were the backdrop to fill empty spaces here and there.
You can decorate the entire place within $10 or grab some unique stuff like a mickey pinata and themeful table cover.

ACTIVITES
My party had kids and their parents (all young at heart) and so we had fun activities involving everyone.

Pin the nose on mickey. This was an instant hit with kids trying to pin Mickey's nose. It was a hilarious sight.

Do you wanna build a snowman. We made a marshmellow snowman. It was so much fun and delicious. We literally all ate it the min we made it. Such a fun activity and very simple.
All you need is pretzels for anchoring and hands, marshmellow for the body and carrots for the nose.

Ball pit. No preschoolers party is fun without a ball pit. We got an Intex Inflatable Swim Center (10 feet) and filled it up with 500 balls. Joined this with Little tikes slide and we had an amazing ball pit.

The most time was spent at the photo booth which I bought from party city. It was a lot of fun to click pics with Mickey and friends.

Finally for a fun party you have to have a really fun swag bag that the kids will remember. And mine was one which they still talk about. The stuff included in my swag bag were -

The party was huge success.
The princess in me and the Mickey Minnie at my house are just waiting for an opportunity to run back to our home, our world which we called Waltdisneyworld.

  1. I love Disney World so much. How wonderful that you were able to bring the magic to your home and to the guests inside it! I love that you decorated inexpensively, but extensively. The ball pit is such a brilliant idea, especially with the slide!
